Well to be honest I bought two! First up, and upon various recommendations I bought an Premiair G35:
Now, hopefully this will speed up my base coating of microarmour and a few other things.
In with the deal was a Rich B AB-200 airbrush.
This apparently ‘needs a little attention’ so I’m hoping I haven’t got hosed here. Which I need to buy as well (a hose that is!). And some paints, thinner, cleaner and a compressor. I’m sure it’ll all be worth it in the end!
So it may be a while before I get to use this but I’m hoping for good results and for it to be a help when I get round to the 20mm vehicles I’ll need for Force on Force!
I tried airbrushing last year on 20mm vehicls but to be honest I got tired of faffing around with setting the bloody thing up and cleaning it every 5 minutes so it ended up in the shed somewhere!. Hope you have more luck than I did Andy!

I'm thinking main use is going to be when I want 30 soviet 1/300th tanks all in Russian Green!
keep your paint thin….thin it with window cleaner..
I always thought you looked quite well groomed? … Oh – an AIRbrush..Sorry! 😀
Just bought one myself. I think it will speed up my own microarmour production but I was struck by a) the amount of paint wasted b) the amount of time it took to cover 6 odd vehicles (as a test) and c) that they needed a lot of time to cover effectively.
It was probably because I used too thin a mix so I'll address that next time. I also went through a tin of propellant so it isn't a cheap way of doing it. I suppose best is to line all your armour up and give them a blast.
Congrats Andy. Once you get the hang of using them you will wonder how you ever got buy without them. I do about 30% of my work for Battlefront with an airbrush.
