Workbench update

Although I’ve posted a vague plan for the year I think I need to add a bit more of a formal structure to it. Just to have stuff to tick off. I’m undecided whether to open up a BlueSky account and return to doing my daily updates. Or just do stuff here. Advantage with BlueSky is I’ll (eventually) get some instant feedback. The blog seems to get very little traffic now so I’m not sure daily posts are worth it…

Anyway, I’m just finishing off one of my 6mm Altefritzenburg units. I intend to do all six of the core units to match the 28mm versions. This is number three.

And I’ve had some Crann Tara French dragoons prepped for a couple of months now so these are to be my next 28mm unit.

We shall see how the year goes…

  1. I do like your teeny weeny Altefritzenburgers. When you say “see how the year goes” are you referring to the year as a whole, or painting the Crann Tara Dragoons?

  2. I am really interested in the concept of 6mm Imaginations, but I’m trying hard to resist. I need to focus on existing 6mm SYW projects…

    • I’m kind of doing both now. I have two ImagiNations, Altefritzenburg and Braunschweig. I’ve done a good few units for the former but none for the latter. But all the other 6mm I have (or have acquired) is broadly French themed so I’ve added all six Irish regiments and any others will be French. And I’ll continue to add 6mm versions of my 28mm Altefritzenburg units.

So basically in 28mm it will be Altefritzenburg vs Braunschweig (with the odd French unit) and in 6mm it will be Altefritzenburg vs ‘French’.

      That’s sort of the plan…
