Only other progress since last update was completing another Altefritzenburg 6mm unit. I’ve got 3 more to do so will do all flags together…

Like you, I stick the rider to the horse before painting, but I always do the horse first. There are several practical reasons I do that, but fundamentally, I think it’s because I want to get the nasty stuff (i.e. the horses and the leatherwork) out of the way first.
Nice 6mm unit. That’s a project that’s going places fast.

I stick the rider on to give me more to hold on to. And hence paint last so I don’t damage any paintwork. Though I may paint rider, then horse, then horse blanket, on these…
Yes. I may prep another 6mm unit tomorrow. An easy win…
Actually, that makes sense. But I think the bottle of red I’ve just finished has helped.
