Happy Birthday to me!

So, yes, today is my birthday. Forty-seven and I don’t feel a day over fifty! At least I got out last night for some nice tapas, sangria and cocktails and as the kids were at their Nan’s we got a lie in this morning.

I’d asked for some of the new ASL stuff from MMP so got the latest ASL Journal and just to start the day right, the map was missing! It’ll get sorted (MMP have great customer service) and it’s not like I’ll be playing it any time soon! But annoying none the less. To add for that, a much anticipated little cheque from an aged aunt had had my name spelled wrong by the bank so it’s unlikely they’ll cash it, needing a re-issue. Still, I’m sure I can borrow on the back of it and have some spending money for Partizan next Sunday.

Gaming-wise, and Wargames Neutral-wise, things are looking up, I’ve sold the 1/300th Canadians and one of the FWC armies so despite the above I do have funds for Partizan. Not sure what I really want to buy though. The new British Grenadier Deluxe is a definite. And I may be tempted by Hail Caesar! And there’s not a lot of lead I want/need. What I do want is either RSM or Heroics and Ros and hence mailorder. It’ll be nice to get out for the day though and I’m sure I’ll find something to buy! 🙂

I even got an hour this morning to start making up some hedges using the scrubber and magnetic foam method. Have a dozen lengths ready to be sprayed brown which MAY happen later if the wind dies down!

So there we are. Not a bad day…
